The Chapel At Chestnut Square
It was a beautiful day in February when Laurel and Jacko repeated their vows. Family and friends were present and the Spring time blossoms were popping out on the branches of the trees at The Chapel at Chestnut Square. A wonderful reception was to be held at Gather in historic downtown McKinney. But…a funny thing happened on the way to Gather.
Photographs we being snapped in the courtyard and around the historic homes when both the bride and the Mother of the bride (we affectionately refer to her as the MOB) simultaneously spotted two white goats being walked down the street in the neighborhood that is the home to Chestnut Square. Having knowledge that the bride and groom like goats, the MOB gets the attention of the photographer. The MOB approaches the goat owner and asks if the goats might temporarily be “in the wedding party?” The goat owner, all too happy to oblige, hands the reins over and the result is the picture you see here. What a fun thing to have happen, but who would have guessed? Two goats, in downtown McKinney, at the time of the wedding, being walked by their owner at just the right moment. What are the odds? I’m thinking “Lottery Odds”
Thanks again Laurel and Jacko for allowing us to have the honor to design your wedding flowers. We loved working with you and your families.
This is our new favorite rose. It is called Suez. It is great for Vintage Weddings. We have been designing lots of weddings with a Vintage theme and this is the perfect rose to compliment that look.
